ABOUT THE CIDER INSTITUTE
Â
Built by the Industry, for the Industry
The Cider Institute is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building a quality-driven, sustainable cider and perry industry through education, research, and professional development.
We bring together cidermakers, educators, researchers, growers, and industry professionals to strengthen production knowledge, expand access to practical training, and support the continued growth of the cider and perry industry.
OURÂ STORY
The Cider Institute was created in response to the rapid growth of the cider industry and the need for more accessible, professional education for cider and perry producers.
At CiderCon 2016, members of the industry agreed to establish the Cider Institute of North America to support the development of cider production skills, education, research, and professional standards.
In 2016, the Cider Institute incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and hired its first Executive Director.
Today, we work with universities, training institutions, researchers, instructors, and cider professionals to develop educational programs, certification, resources, and learning opportunities designed around the real needs of the industry.
CONNECTING EDUCATION,
RESEARCH & PRODUCTION
Our educational programs have been developed in partnership with leading universities and fermentation research institutions, including:

Through these partnerships, the Cider Institute helps bridge the gap between scientific research and practical production, giving cider and perry professionals access to knowledge they can apply in real-world production environments.

LOOKING AHEAD
